Court Rules

Court rules govern procedure in the courtroom. What court rules to follow depends on the court where your case is being heard. This guide will address how to find Minnesota Rules of Court. If your case is before a federal court, even if that court is in Minnesota, other rules apply. Visit the "Other Rules" tab on the left if your case is not before a court in the Minnesota Judicial Branch. 

In our positions as librarians, not lawyers, we can suggest resources but cannot give legal advice (such as which form to file) or legal opinions (such as how a statute might apply to particular facts).
