Welcome!

Beginning June 15, access to the law library will be by appointment only. At this time access is limited to those doing legal research or writing.

There are 3 types of appointments you can make:

  1. To use an MPA/MACS court documents terminal
  2. To use a public computer
  3. To do book research

Appointments are for 1 hour and 20 minutes. You can sign up using the links above, please read the guidelines for visiting the State Law Library before your visit.

State Law Library staff will continue to provide legal information services via our website, by email (quickest response time), and by phone (651)-297-7651. We have access to many online legal resources and are happy to assist people looking for legal information.  Please note that you do not need to come to the library to access legal information. With physical access to our library limited, we may be able to mail items to patrons when an alternative option is not available.
