Two manuscript letters written to one of the first associate justices of the Minnesota Territorial Supreme Court (1850-1953).
The first letter (March 15, 1857) is from M. A. Parker of Marietta (Penn.) and pertains to Cooper's assistance in a legal case. The other letter (Aug. 12, 1858) was written by Cooper's brother in Howell (Mich.) and describes his poor health, farming troubles, and the possible sale of his farm.
