Robert J. Sheran was appointed Associate Justice of Supreme Court on January 8, 1963 after a number of years in the Minnesota House of Representatives. He resigned in July of 1970, and was reappointed as Chief Justice December 18, 1973. He resigned as Chief Justice December 18, 1981. He participated in two oral history interviews, one in 1978 when he was still on the bench and again in 1995 after he retired. He died in 2012.
